Metallic heat insulation material
Metallic heat insulation material is a heat insulation material made entirely of metal that reflects radiant heat from the mirror finish outer plates and internal metallic foil. It has a one-touch buckle that enables easy attachment/detachment and it is effective in reducing workers’ exposure to radiation. It is used for various equipment and pipes, including reactor pressure vessels, and can be used semi-permanently without any build-up of dust.

Advanced metallic heat insulation material
*A metallic heat insulation material with improved thermal insulation due to using a low thermal conductivity steel plate for the edge surface of the case.

Leaded metal heat insulation material
Incorporating a lead plate inside the leaded metal heat insulation material, this material offers radiation shielding and heat-retention properties and is effective at reducing workers’ exposure to radiation.

Nichias installs CASTLON, an epoxy resin-based neutron radioactivity shielding material, for the neutron radioactivity shielding of transportation containers and storage containers for used fuel and around nuclear reactor vessels.

Sealing work (PENESEAL™)
The objective of sealing work is to seal penetrable parts such as the walls and floors of nuclear power facilities. A silicon foam (PENESEAL), with excellent airtightness, watertightness, fireproof resistance, and radiation resistance, is filled into penetrable parts to seal them.

Sealing work (NU BELLOW-Q™)
A flexible boot that seals the gaps with pipes and holes (in walls, ceilings, and floors). It has excellent radiation resistance, heat resistance, and flexibility.
