METAL O-SEAL
TOMBO™ No. 9200V
A gasket made by molding thin metal piping into the shape of an O-ring, welding it at the ends, and then subjecting the surface to ultra-precision finishing. This gasket provides a very reliable, top-class seal across a wide range of conditions from high temperatures to low temperatures and high pressure to vacuum states.
TOMBO No.9200V has two or more small holes on the inside (for internal pressure) of the ring or outside (for outside pressure) and demonstrates top-class sealing even at high pressure due to fluid entering the inside of the ring and causing autofrettage to take place.
In the case of gaseous fluids, vacuumed fluids, and highly volatile fluids, Nichias recommends its PTFE coating or silver plating specifications.
It is used for various applications such as valve bonnets, high-pressure container flanges, equipment joints, pipe flanges, plastic processing machinery, rubber extruders, hydraulic equipment, air pressure equipment, vacuum equipment, nuclear vessels, aircraft engines, rocket engines, and automobile engines.

By using it in combination with adapter packing such as TOMBO No.2250-A, it delivers outstanding sealing performance.
The drop in performance from ultra-low temperatures to high temperatures is minimal.
Expanded graphite (GRASEAL) has chemical resistance second only to PTFE and can be used for almost any fluid, except for the prohibited fluids below.
It has little stress relaxation and so it demonstrates stable sealing performance over the long term.

By using it in combination with adapter packing such as TOMBO No.2250, it delivers outstanding sealing performance.

A string-like packing has a rectangular cross-section so that it can be easily installed into a stuffing box.
It is treated with Nichias’ proprietary anti-corrosive agent, and so demonstrates excellent anti-corrosive performance and can also be used well with valve rods made of 13 chrome steel.
It can be stored in a string-like form and so it can be used to address problems immediately in an emergency.

Alumina fiber-based heat-insulation board
RF BOARD™
TOMBO™ No. 5461
RF BOARD is a product made by adding inorganic and organic binders to alumina fiber and then molding this into a board form.
As it is made of a fiber-based board, it has little heat storage volume. It can be used to design compact furnaces thanks to its excellent thermal insulation properties and workability.
Nichias has a lineup of various dense boards that are suitable for working temperatures of 1, 400°C to 1, 800°C or parts used in such an environment.
Therefore, it performs really well as a lining material for ultra-high-temperature electric furnaces and various high-temperature furnaces.
Thin lagging glass cloth
MARINETEX
TOMBO™ No. 8200
MARINETEX is a lagging cloth and tape for thermal insulation applications, made by weaving ultra-fine glass fiber with bulky yarn and subjecting it to repeated special treatment to eliminate the prickling sensation of the glass.
It provides excellent thermal insulation and is flexible and stretchy, making it suitable for bonding and sewing. It can be easily installed even in the most complicated of places.

Thick glass cloth, tape and yarn for thermal insulation, made by weaving bulky, treated glass yarn. A special heat treatment is applied to the product, and thus it has high strength and maintains its flexibility even at high temperatures unlike conventional glass cloth.
It is suitable for applications that require a cloth that is thicker than our TOMBO No. 8200 MARINETEX.

This is a silica cloth developed for severe conditions in high temperature ranges for which glass cloth is not compatible. Due to the high purity of the SiO2 fiber, there is little deterioration in the silica cloth even when used at high temperatures, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring heat resistance, acid resistance, and electrical insulation.
