Board-form heat-insulation/sound-absorption material
Nichias offers two types of MG BOARD: a JIS1 product (MG BOARD 080) and a JIS2 product (MG BOARD 120), which are made by adding a thermosetting resin to rock wool as a binder and molding it into a board. For the surface materials of MG BOARD 080, Nichias offers adhesive aluminum glass cloth (ALGC) and glass cloth (GC) that is affixed flat on top and around the edges.
Belt-shaped thermal insulation materials
MG BELT is made by cutting MG BOARD into strips and reinforcing it with cheesecloth.
The fibers stand upright in the thickness direction, and so it has excellent flexibility and is easy to wrap around pipes and circular ducts. Nichias’ product lineup also includes a cheesecloth-affixed product and an ALGC-decorated product.

MG WIRED BLANKET™
MG WIRED BLANKET is a product that is made by fixing hexagonal wire mesh to one side of an MG BOARD with iron wire and rolling it up into a roll.
It has excellent workability and can be installed easily onto complex parts and curved surfaces. It is also useful as an additional heat insulation material for added thickness.

MG MIGHTY COVER™
MG MIGHTY COVER is a roll of lightweight heat insulation material that is not susceptible to bending and has excellent thermal insulation, heat resistance, and non-flammable properties.
It has low levels of halogen and so it is excellent at preventing stress and corrosion cracks in stainless steel.

MG Decorated heat-insulation material is a product that is made by affixing ALGC or ALK on the surface of an MG product.
It comes complete with an outer material, so the finish is aesthetically pleasing and it is easy to install.

MG Decorated acoustic material is a sound-absorption material that is finished by adhering glass cloth around all sides of MG BOARD.
It is a product suitable for indoor sound absorption such as in underground machine rooms.

VERMOFLEX is a heat-expanding fireproof sheet that is made by mixing a heat-expandable inorganic material and small amounts of organic and inorganic binders with alkali earth silicate (AES) wool, and then manufacturing it into a sheet form. Its thickness expands by about three-fold when heated (when heated without a load).

MARINETEX is a lagging cloth and tape for thermal insulation applications, made by weaving ultra-fine glass fiber with bulky yarn and subjecting it to repeated special treatment to eliminate the prickling sensation of the glass.
It provides excellent thermal insulation and is flexible and stretchy, making it suitable for bonding and sewing. It can be easily installed even in the most complicated of places.
