Thin lagging glass cloth

MARINETEX

TOMBO™ No. 8200

MARINETEX is a lagging cloth and tape for thermal insulation applications, made by weaving ultra-fine glass fiber with bulky yarn and subjecting it to repeated special treatment to eliminate the prickling sensation of the glass.
It provides excellent thermal insulation and is flexible and stretchy, making it suitable for bonding and sewing. It can be easily installed even in the most complicated of places.

Thick lagging glass cloth

INSULTEX

TOMBO™ No. 8400/8401/8402/8403

Thick glass cloth, tape and yarn for thermal insulation, made by weaving bulky, treated glass yarn. A special heat treatment is applied to the product, and thus it has high strength and maintains its flexibility even at high temperatures unlike conventional glass cloth.
It is suitable for applications that require a cloth that is thicker than our TOMBO No. 8200 MARINETEX.

Aluminum-incorporated heat-resistant cloth sheet

ALUMINIZED CLOTH

TOMBO™ No. 8982

It is a product that is made by welding aluminum foil onto MARINETEX Cloth or INSULTEX Cloth or bonding an aluminum metallized film to the cloth.

Silica cloth

Silica Textile

TOMBO™ No. 8250

This is a silica cloth developed for severe conditions in high temperature ranges for which glass cloth is not compatible. Due to the high purity of the SiO2 fiber, there is little deterioration in the silica cloth even when used at high temperatures, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring heat resistance, acid resistance, and electrical insulation.

Fire-Proof Cloth

FIRE PROOF CLOTH

TOMBO™ No. 8300

Shipyards and construction sites are constantly exposed to the risk of fires due to spatter and slag produced during welding and cutting. There may also be cases where vital equipment such as computers could be damaged. Our Fire-Proof Cloth is a dedicated spark-protection cloth developed to withstand such severe conditions.

Reusable flexible heat-insulation material

ENETHERMO™ R

TOMBO™ No. 4500-R

It is an attachable thermal insulation material that can be used repeatedly.
Nichias assists in environmental conservation and improvements through energy saving initiatives at buildings and plants.

Low thermal conductivity flexible insulation material

Pyrogel™ XTE

Pyrogel XTE is a heat insulation Aerogel blanket that is made by impregnating silica Aerogel into glass fiber cloth.
Silica Aerogel is known as a material with the lowest thermal conductivity of any solid. It has features such as excellent thermal insulation properties, water repellency, flexibility, environmental safety, and ease of handling, and can achieve excellent heat insulation performance. Pyrogel XTE is an ideal heat insulation material for retaining heat in high-temperature pipes, equipment, and tanks, and is essential for pursuing the best possible thermal efficiency.

Board and cover

FOAMNERT™ BOARD

TOMBO™ No. 5000-TN

FOAMNERT TN is a rigid urethane foam thermal insulation material made of closed-cell foam. It is a carbon dioxide foam-based cryogenic insulation material that does not contain any chlorofluorocarbon foaming agents such as HCFCs and HFCs.
Molded products include covers and boards. Nichias’ covers are JIS-certified products (certification number GB0309002).
It can be used within the temperature range of -196°C to +100°C. It can be widely used as a thermal insulation material for LNG and LPG bases, ships, petrochemical plants, and district heating and cooling.
Note: +40°C or less is recommended for the internal temperature when using continuously.

PTFE sheet

NAFLON™ PTFE SHEET

TOMBO™ No. 9000

The NAFLON PTFE sheet is a versatile material made by compression molding a single-substance PTFE or a powdered raw PTFE material in which various inorganic fillers are mixed with the PTFE.

PTFE tape

NAFLON™ PTFE TAPE

TOMBO™ No. 9001

It is a thin PTFE tape that is cut to a specified thickness from a cylindrical PTFE forming block. It combines PTFE’s excellent electrical properties, non-adhesiveness, and low friction coefficient.

PTFE cementable tape

PTFE CEMENTABLE TAPE

TOMBO™ No. 9004-K/-R

It is a cementable NAFLON PTFE tape that can be bonded with an adhesive. We have both double-sided and single-sided NAFLON PTFE cementable tape. Be aware that the bonding effect will diminish when exposed to ultraviolet rays. If you have any questions about the treatment of PTFE tapes with adhesive tape or filler, please contact us.
