LOW TORQUE ADAPTER PACKING

TOMBO™ No. 2250

By using it in combination with TOMBO No.2205_P, you can expect sealing performance and a significant reduction in sliding friction equivalent to that of the conventional GRASEAL PACKING combination (TOMBO No.2205_L + TOMBO No.2930, etc.).
The drop in performance from ultra-low temperatures to high temperatures is minimal.
Expanded graphite (GRASEAl) has chemical resistance second only to PTFE and can be used for various fluids (However, it cannot be used for oxidizing acids, oxidizing salts, halogen compounds, and combustion-supporting gases because they oxidize away the expanded graphite.)
It has little stress relaxation, and so demonstrates stable sealing performance over the long term.

TOMBO™ No. 2280-S

It has fantastic sealing performance in comparison to fiber-braided packing.
Expanded graphite has chemical resistance second only to PTFE and can be used for various fluids (However, it cannot be used for oxidizing acids, oxidizing salts, halogen compounds, and combustion-supporting gases.)
It can be used on its own without using an adapter packing.
A string-like packing has a rectangular cross-section so that it can be easily installed into a stuffing box.
It is treated with Nichias’ proprietary anti-corrosive agent, and so demonstrates excellent anti-corrosive performance and can also be used well with valve rods made of 13 chrome steel.
It can be stored in a string-like form and so it can be used to address problems immediately in an emergency.

FINEFLEX BIO Bulk is a flocculent made by joining together silica, magnesia, and calcia-based alkali earth silicate (AES) wool. It offers excellent flexibility and shock resistance.

FINEFLEX BIO Blanket and FINEFLEX BIO LT Blanket are products that are made by repeatedly layering silica-magnesia-calcia-based alkaline earth silicate (AES) wool, molding it into a blanket shape, and then subjecting it to needle punching.

FINEFLEX BIO Board is a product that adds inorganic and organic binders to FINEFLEX BIO Bulk and is molded into a board form.
TOMBO No.5625-M is a minimal odor type that has incorporated a very small amount of organic binder. TOMBO No.5625-A is a general-use type that has excellent workability.

TOMBO™ No. 5635-A/-R/-M

FINEFLEX BIO Paper is a product that adds a small number of organic binders to FINEFLEX BIO Bulk and is manufactured into a paper form with the use of a paper manufacturing machine.
The product lineup consists of three types (A, R, M) that each has different features.

RF BOARD™

TOMBO™ No. 5461

RF BOARD is a product made by adding inorganic and organic binders to alumina fiber and then molding this into a board form.
As it is made of a fiber-based board, it has little heat storage volume. It can be used to design compact furnaces thanks to its excellent thermal insulation properties and workability.
Nichias has a lineup of various dense boards that are suitable for working temperatures of 1, 400°C to 1, 800°C or parts used in such an environment.
Therefore, it performs really well as a lining material for ultra-high-temperature electric furnaces and various high-temperature furnaces.

MARINETEX

TOMBO™ No. 8200

MARINETEX is a lagging cloth and tape for thermal insulation applications, made by weaving ultra-fine glass fiber with bulky yarn and subjecting it to repeated special treatment to eliminate the prickling sensation of the glass.
It provides excellent thermal insulation and is flexible and stretchy, making it suitable for bonding and sewing. It can be easily installed even in the most complicated of places.

INSULTEX

TOMBO™ No. 8400/8401/8402/8403

Thick glass cloth, tape and yarn for thermal insulation, made by weaving bulky, treated glass yarn. A special heat treatment is applied to the product, and thus it has high strength and maintains its flexibility even at high temperatures unlike conventional glass cloth.
It is suitable for applications that require a cloth that is thicker than our TOMBO No. 8200 MARINETEX.

Low thermal conductivity flexible insulation material

Pyrogel™ XTE

Pyrogel XTE is a heat insulation Aerogel blanket that is made by impregnating silica Aerogel into glass fiber cloth.
Silica Aerogel is known as a material with the lowest thermal conductivity of any solid. It has features such as excellent thermal insulation properties, water repellency, flexibility, environmental safety, and ease of handling, and can achieve excellent heat insulation performance. Pyrogel XTE is an ideal heat insulation material for retaining heat in high-temperature pipes, equipment, and tanks, and is essential for pursuing the best possible thermal efficiency.

FOAMNERT™ BOARD

TOMBO™ No. 5000-TN

FOAMNERT TN is a rigid urethane foam thermal insulation material made of closed-cell foam. It is a carbon dioxide foam-based cryogenic insulation material that does not contain any chlorofluorocarbon foaming agents such as HCFCs and HFCs.
Molded products include covers and boards. Nichias’ covers are JIS-certified products (certification number GB0309002).
It can be used within the temperature range of -196°C to +100°C. It can be widely used as a thermal insulation material for LNG and LPG bases, ships, petrochemical plants, and district heating and cooling.
Note: +40°C or less is recommended for the internal temperature when using continuously.
